She defeated Ukraine's Svitolina in the semifinals.

The first semifinal match of the women's singles Australian Open - 2026 has ended in Melbourne.

The world number one from Belarus Arina Sobolenko reached her fourth consecutive Australian Open final, beating 31-year-old Ukrainian tennis player Elina Svitolina (12th in the WTA rankings).

The match lasted 1 hour 18 minutes and ended with a 6:2, 6:3 victory for the world ranking leader.

This was the seventh face-to-face duel between Sobolenko and Svitolina at the professional level.
