No more than 200 liters of fuel will be allowed in the tanks of trucks.
The Lithuanian Cabinet of Ministers agreed with the proposal of the customs department and approved a ban on the entry into the country of vehicles from Russia and Belarus with more than 200 liters of fuel in their tanks, the press service of the Lithuanian Cabinet of Ministers reported.
According to the department, "excess fuel" in the tanks is being drained for sale. It proposed to set the refueling norm at 200 liters.
According to the department, on average, about 200 trucks with Russian and Belarusian registration enter the territory of Lithuania per day, and during the month - 7.1 thousand. As the department calculated, if one truck illegally drains 500 liters of diesel fuel, it will be 100 thousand liters per day. As a result, the state will lose 2.2 million euros in unpaid taxes for a month.
