There were powerful explosions in Sevastopol and near the airfields of Saki and Belbek.
Powerful explosions erupted in Russian-occupied Sevastopol on Wednesday morning, January 28. The occupiers closed the illegally erected Crimean bridge for more than seven hours - from midnight to morning, the monitoring public "Crimean Wind" reports.
The occupation authorities announced an air alert in Crimea already after the explosions. According to Crimean Wind, this could be a sign of a strike by the Ukrainian Defense Forces against Russian air defense facilities.
In particular, two powerful explosions were heard near Belbek airfield at 07.39 Kiev time, the monitors write.
Also at night, explosions were heard near Cape Fiolent and near Saki airfield in Novofedorovka. "Crimean Wind" also writes about a "powerful arrival" on the Kacha airfield around midnight.
