The U.S. president is urging Tehran to make a deal.
US President Donald Trump said that an additional "armada" of US warships is heading to Iran. This is reported by The Jerusalem Post.
"In June, we destroyed Iran's nuclear capability in Operation Midnight Hammer. People had been waiting 22 years for this... They were a month away from getting nuclear weapons. We had to do it," Trump said during a speech in Iowa.
He said another beautiful armada is now "beautifully sailing into Iran."
The U.S. president also expressed hope that Iran would "make a deal" because it "should have made a deal from the beginning."
On January 22, Trump announced that the U.S. had sent a large number of warships to Iran in response to a crackdown on large-scale protests.
