Ukraine has attracted 45 billion dollars of international military aid in 2025. The main funds were spent on weapons, air defense systems and development of the defense complex.
This is reported by Charter97.org with reference to Telegram of the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Denis Shmygal.
"Last year was a record year for international support to Ukraine in the security sphere. Total aid exceeded 45 billion dollars - the highest figure since the beginning of full-scale war and almost 30% more than in 2024," Denis Shmygal noted.
The key areas of assistance in 2025 include:
Weapons and ammunition;
Air and missile defense systems (air and missile defense systems);
Investments in joint production and procurement for the Ukrainian defense industry;
Training, repair, technical support and logistics.
"More than 6 billion is directed to the development of the Ukrainian defense industry under the model of joint programs with Denmark. Almost 3 billion came from the proceeds from frozen Russian assets in the EU and the UK, which allows us to buy weapons and develop the defense industry," the minister added.
He also noted that international assistance is becoming long-term and systematic, which strengthens Ukraine's defense capability, curbs Russian aggression and maintains a just peace in Europe.
