UAVs massively attacked the Samara region of the Russian Federation, the regional center in flames.
On the night of January 2, strike drones attacked an oil refinery in Novokuibyshevsk in Russia's Samara region.
"Novokuibyshevsk ... KNPZ ... torch burns. Communists' tactic to dump accumulated gas in case of danger," reads the caption to the video, oprilized by the telegram channel "Supernova+".
The released footage shows flames blazing at the plant, which was attacked by UAVs.
Samara Region Governor Vyacheslav Fedorishchev has not yet reacted to the strike on the Novokuibyshevsk refinery.
It should be noted that the Novokuibyshevsk refinery is part of the Rosneft group.
Later it became known that on the night of January 2, the entire Samara region of Russia was attacked by drones. Two oil refineries may have been hit at once, and the regional center itself has already caught fire.
This was reported (RBC-Ukraine https://www.rbc.ua/ukr/news/nevidomi-droni-atakuyut-samarsku-oblast-rf-1767309693.html) with reference to Russian Telegram channels.
In local chats, Russians from different cities of the region complained about the sounds of drones and loud explosions.
Parallel publics that often track attacks have confirmed that unknown drones are attacking the Samara region. They also confirmed that the drones are targeting two oil refineries, Novokuibyshevsky and Kuibyshevsky. Judging by the published video, something caught fire in the region after the attack.
Slightly later, footage from Samara appeared online. The video clearly shows a fire. But what exactly is burning in the regional center is still unknown.
