Mass protests have been ongoing in the country since December 28.
The Iranian people should take to the streets to express their opposition to the unrest, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said in a televised address to the nation. This was reported by Al Mayadeen.
He called on the Iranian people to take to the squares to "make a decision and not let the unrest distort their demands."
The president of the republic added that he recognizes peaceful protests and government officials are ready to meet with all protesting parties inside the country.
