Britain Will Produce Missiles With A Range Of 500 Km For Ukraine

London intends to start production in the near future.

The UK intends to soon begin production for Ukraine of Nightfall missiles, which have a range of 300 miles (about 500 kilometers). According to Daily Mail with reference to Defense Minister John Healey, the UK Defense Ministry is currently searching for companies that will produce the first three missiles at a total cost of £9 million.

The Nightfall is estimated to carry up to 300 kg of explosives and will be slightly heavier than the American ATACMS. At the same time, it is expected to cost less.

The advantage of the system, which was first reported in August, is said to be its greater speed. From launch to arrival is expected to take no more than 10 minutes. At the same time, the launcher crew will be able to change location within five minutes.

Another advantage of Nighfall is called its accuracy. Thanks to GPS guidance, the error in the place of arrival should be no more than five meters.

Besides Nightfall, the British also intend to produce Octopus drones for Ukraine, which will intercept Russian drones.
