The President of Ukraine called the Belarusian dictator an "elderly man."
Lukashenko was hurt by the words of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, who earlier commented in a harsh manner on the statements of the Belarusian ruler, made by him after talks with Putin.
"You are generals in the economies of your countries. I am a man already... As my colleague Volodya Zelensky, whom I considered my son, said recently, we are "old men" here with Putin, "whispering in corners" to the detriment of others. Nonsense," Lukashenko addressed the participants of the meetings of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council and the CIS Council of Heads of Government.
We would like to remind you that the President of Ukraine at the Warsaw Security Forum was asked to comment on Alexander Lukashenko's recent statement about a "good proposal" to end the war:
-I find it difficult to react to Lukashenko's statements. He, frankly speaking, lives in his own world. He built it, isolated himself, and has lived for three decades in that house. But it is a house the size of a country," Zelensky said.
- The Ukrainian president added that he would like to remind Lukashenko of Belarus' sovereignty.
- I would like him to remember that his country is independent. He lives in his world, but sometimes Putin comes to visit this world. And they are there, two rather elderly people, talking about something. So it is difficult for me to comment on what they are talking about, - concluded Vladimir Zelensky to laughter and applause in the hall.
