EU Welcomed Trump's Gaza Plan

Euro leaders said they were ready to help end the war and free the hostages.

EU leaders have reacted favorably to the plan proposed by the administration of US President Donald Trump to end the war in Gaza.

The European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and the head of the European Council António Costa wrote about it on their social networks, "European Pravda".

In particular, the EC president, commenting on Trump's plan, called on "all sides to seize this opportunity" and end the war.

She said the EU is also ready to contribute to a peaceful settlement in the Middle East.

"The fighting must end with the provision of immediate humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza and the immediate release of all hostages," von der Leyen emphasized.

In addition, she stressed that a two-state solution "remains the only viable path to a just and lasting peace in the Middle East."

For his part, Costa noted the need to immediately end the war in Gaza because of the difficult situation for civilians.

"The Israeli and Palestinian peoples deserve to live side by side, in peace and security, without violence and terrorism. The two-state solution remains the only viable path to a just and lasting peace in the Middle East," he added.
