Ukraine And U.S. Discuss Crucial Defense Agreements

The focus is on guns and security.

Ukraine and the United States of America held talks on the purchase of American weapons and joint programs with drones.

Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Rustem Umerov wrote about it in Facebook.

He said that before the start of the UN General Assembly in New York, a meeting was held with the special representative of the US President General Keith Kellogg.

"The focus is weapons and security. We discussed agreements on the purchase of American weapons and joint programs with drones that will strengthen Ukraine's defense capabilities. A separate topic - security guarantees and protection of Ukrainian skies," Umerov wrote.

He noted that the partnership with the United States is critical for strengthening Ukrainian air defense and scaling arms production.

"Thank you to the United States for the consistent support and efforts of President Donald Trump to end the war and protect the lives of Ukrainians," Umerov reported.

We will recall that before that, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky spoke about his meeting with Kellogg. In particular, he informed the general about the situation on the front.

"Informed about the situation on the front and the results of the counter-offensive operation near Dobropillya and Pokrovsk," the President said.
