Zelensky Told About The Counteroffensive Of The AFU

The President of Ukraine reacted to the situation in Kupyansk.

Ukrainian defenders are holding the defense in the area of Kupyansk, as well as continuing the counter-offensive in Donetsk region.

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said in an evening address.

According to the Ukrainian head of state, the military and the AFU Commander-in-Chief Alexander Syrsky reported to him today.

According to Zelensky, Ukrainian soldiers continue counter-offensive actions in the area of Pokrovsk and Dobropillya, where was one of the most important directions for the Russian offensive. The Russian Federation failed to launch a full-fledged offensive.

- Ukrainian military destroys their forces. Significant losses for the Russians. The exchange fund for our state has been substantially replenished as well. Every day adds Russian prisoners, - said the president.

The head of the Ukrainian state thanked all units that are involved in the counter-offensive.

Zelensky also noted that in Kupyansk and areas around the city Ukrainian soldiers are defending positions. He thanked all the brigades.

- There will also be our new diplomatic strikes (long-range strikes - ed.) in response to what Russia is doing," the Ukrainian head of state added.
