US president says low oil prices will force Russian dictator to stop war.
US President Donald Trump considers Russia's energy revenues as one of the key factors in ending its war against Ukraine. Trump said this on September 18 at a joint press conference with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer.

Trump was asked whether it was time to impose additional sanctions against Russia, given the actions of illegitimate Russian President Vladimir Putin since their meeting in Alaska, particularly the air attacks on Ukraine, as well as the US president's own repeated admissions that Putin had "let him down."
"It's very simple: if oil prices go down - Putin has no choice, he has to get out of this war," Trump responded.
He noted that he had learned that some European countries were still buying Russian oil, and warned India and China of measures if they continued to buy oil from Russia.
Trump added that the increase in U.S. production he initiated should help lower world prices.
"We can do that. Because it's not fair play to the United States," the American president summarized.
