Polish Defense Minister Arrives In Kiev

Along with a delegation from the Armed Forces.

Polish Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz arrived in Kiev on Thursday, September 18, on a visit, the Polish Defense Ministry said on social media X.

Kosiniak-Kamysh arrived with a delegation from the Polish Defense Ministry and Armed Forces.

The Polish ministry announced discussions on military cooperation, further support for Ukraine and the security situation amid Russian aggression.

On Sept. 11, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said Poland was ready to send its military to Ukraine to learn from its experience in countering drones after more than 20 Russian drones flew into the country on Sept. 10.

On September 17, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry said that a Polish delegation would arrive in Ukraine by the end of the week to discuss the study of Ukrainian experience in countering UAVs.

On September 10, 21 Russian drones were detected in Polish airspace, a significant number of which flew in from Belarus. Preliminarily, four UAVs were shot down by Polish and NATO forces.
