Sikorski: It's About Time Trump Saw That Putin Is Mocking Him

It is impossible to "negotiate amicably" with the Russian dictator.

Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski expressed hope that U.S. President Donald Trump will realize the futility of trying to "negotiate amicably" with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin and change his strategy.

He said this in an interview with US television channel PBS.

"It's time for President Trump to see that Putin is mocking him. Instead of the ceasefire that was hoped for before the Alaska summit and serious peace talks, Putin is only launching more and more drones - first against Ukraine and now against NATO," the foreign minister said when asked if he believed Trump would eventually decide to impose sanctions on Russia.

The minister also said Poland hoped for serious coordinated action by the international community to make Putin realize that his plans to revive the Russian empire have no chance of success.
