Three Countries Urgently Urged To Strengthen Air Defenses After Russian Drone Attack On Poland

The foreign ministers of Lithuania, Poland and Ukraine have condemned the incursion of Russian drones into Polish territory. The diplomats called for urgent strengthening of Ukraine's air defense.
According to RBC-Ukraine with reference to the joint statement of the foreign ministers of Lithuania, Poland and Ukraine.
"We, the foreign ministers of Lithuania, Poland and Ukraine - the Lublin Triangle, strongly condemn the recent incursion of Russian drones into the territory of Poland. It was a deliberate and coordinated strike, which constitutes an unprecedented provocation and escalation of tension," the statement reads.
The diplomats emphasized that Russia's actions, as well as Belarus' agreement to use its airspace, is a direct threat to the security of all countries in the region.
The ministers stressed that only joint action can guarantee the protection of citizens. Ukraine is ready to share intelligence and operational data with Poland, Lithuania and other partners to create an effective system of early warning and countering drone and missile attacks.
The document states the need for better coordination between the structures responsible for air security. Such measures should increase the effectiveness of air defense systems.
The countries called on partners to urgently strengthen Ukraine's air defenses, as well as to support Lithuania and Poland in strengthening the security of the eastern flank of NATO and the EU. According to diplomats, only an adequate and decisive response can prevent further escalation.
It is separately noted that the incident is accompanied by a surge of Russian disinformation. Therefore, societies were urged to remain vigilant and counter manipulation.
Lithuania, Poland and Ukraine emphasized that unity, cooperation and mutual support within NATO and the EU are key to countering Russian aggression and guaranteeing the safety of citizens.
