The AFU Destroyed One Of The Most Dangerous Russian Drones

Its latest modification is capable of accelerating during dive to 300 km/h.

In southern Ukraine, air defense forces shot down a Russian Lancet barrage drone, which can be used for both reconnaissance and strike missions.

Photographs of the neutralized kamikaze drone were published on the page of the 121st separate territorial defense brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook. It is noted that the soldiers of the mobile fire group destroyed one of the most dangerous drones in the arsenal of the occupants:

"Its latest modification ("Lancet-3") can accelerate during dive up to 300 km/h, has a range of up to 50 km and carries up to 5 kg of explosives. Each destroyed Russian UAV is a saved life of Ukrainians. Let's keep working!".

The Lancet drone

The hovering munition is manufactured in Russia by ZALA AERO, part of the Kalashnikov Concern. The drone was first introduced in 2019 and has undergone several updates since then, writes unian.net.

"Lancet" is designed for the pinpoint destruction of equipment, including artillery systems, air defense systems, radars, MLRSs and command posts. It has several modifications, the most famous of which are Lancet-1 (light version) and Lancet-3 (main combat version).

The drone is equipped with a camera for real-time targeting and video surveillance, as well as GPS and inertial navigation systems, which allows autonomous targeting.
