Anti-tank barriers appeared at closed checkpoints.
The Lithuanian military installed barriers, called "dragon's teeth," on the roads near unused border crossings on the border with Belarus. This became known on August 30. Photos from the installation sites also appeared on the Web.
The same barriers were also installed on the border with Kaliningrad region of Russia, Lithuanian media reported.

According to the commander of the Armed Forces, General Raimundas Vaiksznoras, "the measure is part of a counter-mobility plan as part of the Baltic States' defense line."

"The installed barriers are only a tactical first step. In the future, the entire engineering scheme will be unified into a single system," he also said.
It is known that on unused roads, fences were installed directly on the roadway, while on used roads, they were installed in easily accessible places next to it so that they could be used when necessary.
