Ukraine To Receive Patriot From Another Country

The U.S. has approved the deal.
The United States has approved the possible sale of Patriot for Denmark, which then intends to transfer the air defense systems to Ukraine. This is reported by the U.S. Defense Department's Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA).
The equipment package calls for the acquisition of 36 MIM-104E GEM-T missiles, 20 PAC-3 MSE missiles, two AN/MPQ-65 radars, six PATRIOT M903A2 launchers and other systems that are needed to make the batteries fully operational.
The total value of the potential sale was estimated at $8.5 billion.
The Netherlands, which has also announced its intention to transfer some weapons to Kiev to strengthen its air defense.
The Ukrainian government has repeatedly asked Western allies for additional air defense systems to protect strategic sites from Russian missile strikes.
With Washington's decreasing willingness to finance new supplies on its own, its NATO allies are bearing the costs by buying American weapons
