This will greatly strengthen the country's defense capabilities.

The United States has approved the sale of Starlink equipment and Patriot systems to Ukraine, which will significantly strengthen the country's defense capabilities.

This was reported by the U.S. Department of Defense's Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA).

At the request of the Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers, the United States will provide engineering, technical and logistics services for the Starlink terminals. Additionally, the agreement includes software and logistics support from the U.S. government and the contractor, Starlink Services. The estimated value of these services is $150 million.

In addition, the State Department has decided to sell $179.1 million worth of maintenance services for Patriot systems and related equipment.

The package will include:

parts and software;

modification kits;

test equipment and communications;

repair;

storage and training;

technical assistance from U.S. specialists.

The prime contractors for this deal will be RTX Corporation and Lockheed Martin.

The DSCA emphasized that these agreements will support U.S. foreign policy and enhance national security by strengthening Ukraine's defense capabilities.

The services and equipment provided are expected to help Ukraine counter current and future threats and enhance air defense capabilities. The agreements will not affect the military balance in the region.
