Ukraine, the U.S. and Europe are working together.
The USA does not put pressure on Ukraine and does not force it to make territorial concessions to Russia. The corresponding statement was made by the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak following talks with the special representative of the US president Steve Whitkoff, UNIAN.
According to the head of the OP, Ukraine, the United States and Europe are working on the creation of a system of security guarantees, which should once and for all exclude the repetition of Russian aggression.
Yermak emphasized: Washington does not demand concessions from Kiev on the issue of territories. Moreover, American leader Donald Trump confirmed the US readiness to give Ukraine direct security guarantees based on NATO's Article 5 on collective defense.
The head of the OP noted that now there are many different options that should add up to a single system protecting Ukraine from new aggression by the Kremlin.
Kiev and Washington agreed to continue the dialog. In the absence of steps from Russia, Washington is ready to return to discussing additional sanctions. Separately, Yermak spoke about Whitkoff's promise to visit Ukraine and expressed hope that Trump himself will also make a visit to our country at some point.
American diplomat, according to Yermak, reacted emotionally to photos of the consequences of Russian shelling of Ukraine, which killed people, including children.
