Lukashenko's Obsession Has Escalated Again

The dictator believes that "some of us have already gotten naked."

Alexander Lukashenko once again called the potato an iconic crop for Belarus, which "has been elevated to the rank of a national product."

Visiting Kirov district, Mahiliou voblast, Alexander Lukashenko called it quite natural that with such a love for potatoes, Belarusians have always been able to grow them. This applies to both agricultural organizations and private farms.

"Until now, if someone has a piece of land or a house in the village, a caring, good owner grows a bed or two of potatoes. But some of us have become so brazen that it is difficult to bend over and sow a basket of potatoes in the spring to provide ourselves at least in late summer and fall with this bread," he added.

The dictator again insistently demanded from officials, agricultural producers and trade to prevent a repeat of the potato shortage that occurred in the spring of this year.
