An attack on Syzran was reported by the head of the city district Sergei Volodchenkov at around 04:20 hours. According to the official, amid the attack, warning systems were working in the city, and locals were urged not to leave their homes unnecessarily.

The governor of the Samara region, Vyacheslav Fedorishchev, noted toward morning that drones were trying to hit an industrial plant in Syzran. The official did not disclose information about the hit on the refinery.

At the same time, videos showing an oil refinery in Syzran going up in flames are circulating on social networks.

Attack on Krasnodar Refinery

Also at night around 03:00 hours, explosions went off near the Krasnodar refinery, local channels reported. According to official reports from local authorities, a technical unit was on fire on the territory of the Krasnodar refinery.

"Due to the fall of drone debris on the territory of the Krasnodar refinery, one of the technological units was damaged and there was a fire on an area of about 300 square meters," the report said.

Employees of the refinery were evacuated, there was no information about casualties due to the drone attack at the time of publication.

The Russian Defense Ministry reported in the morning that 86 drones were allegedly shot down over Russian regions at night.
