Ukraine has managed to hit an enemy Russian ship at a distance of 350 kilometers with an FPV drone. Experts say that this is the first time in the history of the war when a warship was effectively hit by an FPV drone.
It was not just any ship that was hit, but the Bujan-M corvette, which is a Kalibr missile carrier, according to Defense Express.
The strike was carried out on August 28 in the Gulf of Temryut in the Sea of Azov. The Ukrainian Defense Ministry's GSD is behind the successful attack.
It is important to note the distance here, as the distance was more than 350 kilometers. Experts do not rule out that the attack on the ship was carried out by a drone "Bober" or "RUBAKA". The source emphasizes that this attack showed the helplessness of enemy ships.
The video shows that the ship's crew is aware of the threat, but can do nothing about it. At the same time, for some reason the air defense equipment was silent.
The artillery system in question is the "Duet" artillery system, including the AK-630M1-2 "Roy" with two six-barrel AO-18 cannons. Such a system is capable of destroying not only drones, but also aircraft and cruise missiles. Why the air defense system did not work, experts do not dare to say.
But it is precisely such corvettes that now form the basis of the Russian Black Sea Fleet and the entire Caspian Flotilla. The same "Duet" installations are on the landing ships "Ivan Gren" and "Pyotr Morgunov".
As a result of a drone strike on the "Buyan-M", the corvette's "eyes" - MR-352 "Positive" - were put out of action.
