The Ukrainian president emphasized that "a clear world response to this evil is needed."
Another massive strike of the aggressor country Russia in Ukraine proves Russian President Vladimir Putin to stop the war. This was stated by Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky in an address published in Telegram on August 28.
"All day long, rescue operations continued at several locations in Kiev. [...] At the moment it is known about 19 dead in Kiev, four of them children. [...] This strike clearly demonstrates that Russian goals really haven't changed. They want to fight, they hit not only our people, not only our cities, communities," he said.
The Ukrainian president said Russia strikes at everyone on Earth who seeks peace.
"This is a blow to Ukraine. This is a blow to Europe. It is also a Russian strike on President [US President Donald] Trump, on other global actors. We've heard in Washington that Putin is supposedly ready to end the war - to meet at the leaders' level and resolve key issues. But he chooses ballistics over any real steps toward peace. He's killing children to avoid talking about when and how there will be peace. The problem is that he is not afraid to strike like this at those leaders to whom he promises something," he said.
Zelensky emphasized that "a clear world response to this evil is needed."
"There are no deadlines that Putin would not disrupt. There are no diplomatic opportunities that wouldn't be ruined because of Russia. Strong moves are needed. Thank you to everyone who understands that. There needs to be sanctions. We need tariffs on those who are sponsoring this war," he emphasized.
