A meeting between Russian and Ukrainian presidents Vladimir Putin and Vladimir Zelensky will not take place, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz has declared.

"It will certainly not come to a meeting between President Zelensky and President Putin, as it was between President Trump and President Putin last week," he said.
