Rheinmetall To Build Gunpowder Plant Near Ukraine

A launch date has been named.

German concern Rheinmetall will build a gunpowder plant in Romania. This was reported in the Ministry of Economy of the country.

It is known that the enterprise, where they will produce gunpowder for ammunition, will appear in the city of Victoria.

The construction of this plant should start in 2026 and will last three years.

A total of 535 million euros are planned to be allocated for the construction of the enterprise. It should provide 700 new jobs.

The ground-breaking agreement for the construction of the plant was signed in Berlin by Romanian Minister Radu Miruta. The ceremony was also attended by Group Director Armin Papperger and high-ranking officials. These included NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte and German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius.
