Merz, Macron And Tusk Arrive In Moldova On Independence Day

German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, French President Emmanuel Macron, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk arrived in Chisinau on Wednesday, August 27, for Moldova's Independence Day.
Friedrich Merz wrote about it on his social network X page and published a joint photo of the EU leaders with Moldovan President Maya Sandu.
The German chancellor wrote that Moldova is part of the European family and he was honored to be there on Independence Day.
"Germany, France and Poland support a free and European Moldova. We stand with you in defense of your freedom and sovereignty," he said.
