Russian Federation Extends Ban On Gasoline Exports

Against the backdrop of drone strikes on refineries.

In Russia, the government has extended the ban on gasoline exports. This is reported in Telegram of the Russian Cabinet on August 27.

The previous export ban was set by the government in February and is valid until August 31 inclusive.

The current restrictions apply, among other things, to supplies made by direct producers of petroleum products.

The new restrictions on gasoline will be valid from September 1 to October 31 inclusive.

"From September 1 to September 30, 2025, the ban will apply to all exporters: both producers of petroleum products and non-producers. From October 1, restrictions for gasoline producers will be lifted," the statement said.

The Russian government said the decision was aimed at "maintaining a stable situation in the domestic fuel market."
