Thousands Of Pakistanis Will Come To Belarus

Thousands of Pakistanis will go to work in our country, and law enforcers of Pakistan will make every effort to "send the best of the best cadres to Belarus after full vetting". This was stated by Federal Minister of Interior and Narcotics Control Mohsin Naqvi at a meeting with the head of the Interior Ministry of Belarus Ivan Kubrakov on August 27, the press service of the Pakistani agency reported.

Mohsin Naqvi noted that under an earlier agreement, thousands of Pakistanis will go to Belarus to work.

"We will make every effort to send the best of the best personnel to Belarus after full verification," he was quoted by the press service.

MIAs of the two countries agreed to create a joint working group, and an agreement was reached to sign a memorandum of understanding to expand cooperation in the fight against drugs and border protection.

Belarusian Interior Ministry did not report on the discussion of labor migration from Pakistan at the end of the meeting. However, the press service of the Belarusian agency informed that Kubrakov met with Minister for Pakistanis Abroad and Human Resource Development Chaudhry Salik Hussain. In addition, Ambassador of Belarus to Pakistan Andrei Metelitsa and Secretary of the Interior Ministry of that country Muhammad Khuram Agha exchanged instruments of ratification on the extradition agreement.

Reminder, April 11, Alexander Lukashenko met with Prime Minister of Pakistan Shahbaz Sharif. The politicians agreed on the possible arrival of 100-150 thousand migrant workers from the Islamic republic in Belarus.
