Ukraine's president has urged countries to push Russia to end the war.
Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky in a conversation with South African President Syryl Ramaphosa called on the countries of the Global South to push Russia to end the war.
This was reported by "RBC-Ukraine" with reference to the Telegram of the Ukrainian president.
"Spoke with South African President Cyril Ramaphosa at his request. Informed about joint diplomatic efforts with partners and productive meetings with President Trump in Washington. It is necessary to end this war, which no one but Russia has never needed," Zelensky noted.
The Ukrainian president also confirmed that he is ready for any format of meeting with the Russian head.
"However, we see that Moscow is now again trying to drag things out even more. It is important for the Global South to send appropriate signals and push Russia towards peace," he added.
Zelensky also noted that during the conversation with Ramaphosa, the leaders discussed future contacts with partners, as well as opportunities to work together to develop relations and ensure food security and a platform for dialog.
