A "major decision" will then follow.

US President Donald Trump announced that he will make a decision on resolving the war in Ukraine in two weeks.

"If the war in Ukraine is not resolved, I will make a very important decision in two weeks. It could be either massive sanctions or big tariffs or we do nothing and I will say, 'This is your war,'" he said, speaking to reporters at the White House.

He noted that it "takes two people" to negotiate and in two weeks he will understand the attitude of both countries to the process.

"Well, we'll see if they meet. It will be interesting to see, and if not, why didn't it take place? Because I told them to meet. But in two weeks I'll know what I'll do," the US president emphasized.
