One Of Russia's Key Refineries Has Been On Fire For More Than A Day

Satellite imagery confirms this.

The Novoshakhtinsk refinery of oil products in the Rostov region, one of Russia's key refineries, has been on fire for more than a day. This is evidenced by satellite images from August 22, which were obtained by NV.

Despite the fact that more than a day has passed since the attack, a large fire and smoke still continues. A huge column of smoke stretched for more than 6 kilometers and this is after long attempts to extinguish the fire.

The Novoshakhtinsk refinery of oil products became known about the defeat late in the evening of August 20. Explosions were heard at the plant, followed by a large-scale fire.

The AFU General Staff later confirmed the drone attack on the plant, noting that the plant is one of the key suppliers of oil products to the occupation forces. The importance of this particular facility is also confirmed by a number of independent OSINT projects.
