Ukraine is ready for negotiations.
Ukraine does not want to put forward additional conditions to start a dialog with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin and expects to agree on a specific date and place of the meeting.
Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said this at a joint press conference with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, "RBC-Ukraine".
He noted that he spoke with US President Donald Trump about the trilateral meeting that is needed.
"Then he had a connection with the Russian side. He said, let's make a bilateral track first, and this is the Russians' proposal, he said, and then a trilateral track," Zelensky said.
The Ukrainian president added that he was ready for a meeting with Putin.
"I don't want us to put any conditions that someone will then use as barriers to the end of the war. That's why I said, we are ready," he emphasized.
Zelensky added that Ukraine is ready to support a bilateral and then a trilateral meeting.
"If President Trump says that this is the format in which we can further talk, we are ready to support the bilateral track and then the trilateral track. Let's talk about the date and let's talk about the location. That's all I have at the moment," he stated.
