Lindsey Graham: Russia Has Kidnapped Nearly 20,000 Ukrainian Children

The United States initiated a bill to recognize Russia as a state sponsor of terrorism.

US Senator Lindsey Graham said that Russia forcibly removed at least 19,500 children from Ukraine during the war. He said this in his note on the platform X.

The politician emphasized that such actions are "barbaric and disgusting", because they deprive children of the right to a family and native land. He also recalled that he had previously initiated the adoption of a bill that would officially recognize Russia as a state sponsor of terrorism if it refuses to return the abducted children.

"This step would make any cooperation or business with Putin's Russia toxic for international companies and governments," the senator stressed.
