Soldiers of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry have mined a Russian boat in the occupied Kherson region. For this purpose they used an airborne missile and Bayraktar TB2 drone from Baykar. About it writes Defence Express.

The publication notes that despite the fact that Baykar's Bayraktar TB2 reconnaissance drone has long ceased to be a media "star" it does not mean that it is not used to kill Russians.

"Although the Defense Ministry's GSD did not report that the strike was carried out from the Bayraktar TB2, it is indicated by the combat interface. Namely the very distinctive scale bar as well as the target acquisition mark that can be seen in every video of Bayraktar TB2," Defense Express noted.

Analysts speculate that to destroy the Bayraktar TB2 boat, used a MAM-C munition, which is not a missile, or a Cirit, which came into service with this UAV. However, it could also be another new unknown munition.

"It is also possible that another drone carried out the strike while Bayraktar TB2 only illuminated the target, which nullifies all assumptions based on the known ammunition nomenclature of the Turkish UAV," Defense Express said.

The destruction of the enemy vessel was previously reported in the press service of the GSD. The event took place on August 20 in the Black Sea near Iron Port.

"Rocket, drone, laser - GUR fighters destroyed an enemy boat near Iron Port. As a result of the operation of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry's GUR operation in the Black Sea near the temporarily occupied Zhelezny Port, Kherson region, an airborne missile destroyed a boat of Russian invaders. All five members of the Russian occupation crew were eliminated," the report said.

It is noted that it was possible to make a high-precision destructive missile strike on the enemy target in the Black Sea thanks to laser illumination from a drone. The drone both illuminated and filmed the successful destruction of a Russian Armed Forces boat with Russians on board.
