Battles near Dobropillya
August 11, the DeepState analytical project reported a breakthrough of Russian troops near Dobropillya. According to their data, the occupants approached the settlements of Kucherov Yar, Zolotoy Kolodets and Veseloye.
The operational-strategic grouping of troops "Dnipro" confirmed that in this direction the enemy operates in small groups, trying to use the numerical advantage and bypass the first line of defense. At the same time, the Ukrainian defenders in recent days have regained some of the previously lost positions.
The AFU General Staff later said that from August 4 to 16, a number of settlements in Donetsk region had been cleared of occupants: Gruzske, Rubizhne, Novovodyanoye, Petrovka, Veseloye and Zolotoy Kolodets.
The AFU commander-in-chief, General Alexander Syrsky, also said that the enemy tried to develop success near Dobropillya, taking advantage of the difficult terrain and the lack of a continuous front line. However, after the transfer of Ukrainian units, the Russians' "victorious mood" changed to despair.
