Zhlobin BMZ is idle.

The residents of Zhlobin began to observe an unusual picture: the smoke from the chimneys of the Belarusian Metallurgical Plant ceased to flow constantly, as it used to do before. Now the plant smokes only from time to time. This means that the furnaces are periodically turned off.

The video of the non-working plant was shared by readers with the resource zhlobin.live. The explanation of the reason for the lack of smoke "Flagstaff" found in comments on social networks:

"There is no smoke now, because the furnaces take turns working. There is no work load as it was before. So you can't see smoke."

"There is smoke only during loading."

"The plant works a shift, three stands still."

Users also noted that smoke is visible in the evenings, sometimes in the morning. The rest of the time the production is idle.

There is no official information about it. At the end of July, BMZ claimed that the plant made a profit in the first half of the year. This was stated by Deputy General Director Sergei Terletsky at a meeting with the staff of one of the company's subdivisions.

He said that "at the end of the half-year the plant has maintained a balance, showing profitable work, we continue to move forward".

He also noted that "the task is to maintain stability in any turbulence and remain competitive".

A problematic situation has developed at the plant due to the fall in production. In spring, employees of some shops were sent on leave at their own expense, and in August the deadlines for issuing salaries were shifted.
