President Donald Trump doesn't think a cease-fire is necessary in Ukraine, though he likes the concept. During a press conference with President Vladimir Zelensky in Washington, D.C., he said a cease-fire is not necessary and unlikely to be achievable.

"I don't think you need a cease-fire. I know it can be a good thing, but I can also understand strategically why one country or the other doesn't want it," he said.
