The German chancellor revealed exactly what Zelensky and European leaders will talk to Trump about.
President Vladimir Zelensky and European leaders will travel to the United States. With President Donald Trump they will discuss peace efforts on Ukraine.
This is reported by "RBC-Ukraine" citing German Chancellor Friedrich Merz on X (Twitter).
Merz confirmed that he will go to Washington tomorrow, August 18, with Zelensky and other European heads of state and government.
"We will exchange views with US President Trump on the status of peace efforts, security guarantees, territorial issues and further support for Ukraine," the chancellor said.
The German government spokesman also noted in media comments that leaders at the White House may discuss maintaining sanctions pressure on Russia.
