The Ukrainian Armed Forces Have Launched An Offensive In Donbass

Pokrovsk was cleared and six settlements were liberated.

Ukrainian defense forces have cleared six settlements near Dobropillya in Donetsk region. The town of Pokrovsk has also been cleared of occupants.

This is reported by the AFU General Staff.

From August 4 to 16, as a result of joint actions of units and subdivisions of the National Guard and the AFU, which are part of the 1st Corps of the NSU "Azov", the settlements in Donetsk region were cleared: Gruzskoye, Rubizhne, Novovodyane, Petrovka, Veseloye, and Zolotoy Kolodets.

In the operational zone, the enemy suffered significant losses in manpower. According to the data for August 16, they are:

without return - 910 people,

sanitary - 335 people,

plain - 37 people.

The enemy also lost a lot of equipment and weapons. Eight tanks of the Russian occupants, six armored fighting vehicles, 103 vehicles, one MLRS, 18 cannons and 91 UAVs of various types were destroyed and damaged.

The General Staff noted that stabilization operations in the direction of Dobropillya continue.

Divisions of the 19th Army Corps operating in Donetsk Region have captured six Russian servicemen just in the past 24 hours.

Also this week, the 7th Corps of Airborne Assault Troops and related units have cleared the town of Pokrovsk of enemy groups and single occupants.
