Mass protests continue in Serbia. Protesters are burning firecrackers, the police are responding with tear gas. There are detainees.

According to KoSSev and TV channel N1.

Clashes between protesters and police on the evening of August 16 took place in Belgrade, Novi Sad and Valjevo. The action was called "Serbia cannot be pacified."

In Valjevo, police dispersed protesters by storm, and tear gas was also used. Locals, including some residents of nearby houses, threw pyrotechnics at the gendarmerie building.

In Belgrade, protesters threw pyrotechnics at the office of the ruling Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) and burned the party flag.

A column of protesters in Novi Sad smashed windows in the party office with bottles.

Few hundred residents of the town of Gornji Milanovac threw toilet paper at the building of the Serbian Progressive Party.

According to the country's Interior Minister Ivica Dacic, as of August 16, six police officers were injured in the protests and 38 people were detained.
