It's called the White Snail.
August 16 in the Swiss city of Locarno held the closing ceremony and awards ceremony of the prestigious international film festival. In the main competition program participated the film of the Austrian-German duo of directors Elsa Kremer and Levin Peter "White Snail" - about love in modern Belarus, reports "Deutsche Welle".
The movie won two awards: the special jury prize (the second most important award of all possible) and the prize for the best cast (it was awarded to the performers of the main roles Maria Imbro and Mikhail Senkov).
The plot is as follows: the heroine named Masha is thinking about committing suicide, and these thoughts lead her to the morgue, where she meets a pathologist-artist named Misha. A relationship develops between the young people.
The main prize of the festival - "Golden Leopard" - went to the Japanese film "Two Seasons, Two Strangers" Sho Miyake. The 78th edition of the Locarno Film Festival was held this year from August 6 to 16.
