British Intelligence: Elimination Of Generals Destroys The Command Of The Russian Armed Forces

Moscow has already lost at least 16 generals, the latest being Mikhail Gudkov, deputy commander of the Navy.

Britain's Defense Intelligence Community believes that the elimination of Russian generals could have a negative impact on the chain of command in some parts of the Russian forces.

This, according to European Pravda, in its Saturday review.

The recently eliminated deputy commander of the Russian Navy, Mikhail Gudkov, became at least the second high-ranking general to be killed since the beginning of the year, British intelligence noted.

In total, Russia has lost at least 16 generals since the start of its full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the review said.

"The loss of so many high-ranking officers is likely to have undermined the command and control system in some parts of the Russian Armed Forces. This likely led to Russia's tactical and operational difficulties during the conflict," the U.K. intelligence agency said.

Major General Mikhail Gudkov was liquidated on July 2 in the Kursk region.

Gudkov was appointed deputy commander-in-chief of the Russian Navy in late March and previously commanded the 155th Marine Brigade, which was implicated in the executions of Ukrainian military personnel.
