Reuters: Trump May Resume Deliveries Of Patriot Missiles To Ukraine

US President Donald Trump may resume deliveries of Patriot missiles to Ukraine after a "very good" conversation with Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky. This is according to Reuters.

The publication's sources say Trump is positive and has expressed a willingness to review suspended shipments, including dozens of air defense missiles that Ukraine critically needs to defend itself against Russian strikes.

It is noted that Kiev hopes for a speedy resolution of the issue, despite preliminary delays due to what it called a "lack of resources."

The publication writes that Ukraine is asking Washington to sell it more Patriot missiles and systems, which it considers key to protecting its cities from intensifying Russian airstrikes. The article said:

"Washington's decision to suspend some arms sales to Ukraine has prompted warnings from Kiev that the move would weaken its ability to defend itself against Russian airstrikes and offensives on the battlefield."

One source told Reuters they were optimistic that deliveries of Patriot missiles could resume after what they called a "very good" conversation between the presidents.
