"There Is Some Good News": Military Plant Struck In Russian Federation

The Azov Optical and Mechanical Plant manufactures critical components for the Russian army.

On the night of Friday, July 4, facilities in Moscow and Rostov regions were attacked, among them the Azov Optical and Mechanical Plant. This was reported in the Telegram channel by the head of the Center for Countering Disinformation Andrey Kovalenko.

"Despite the difficult night there is some good news," he noted.

As Kovalenko says, the Azov Optical and Mechanical Plant makes critical components for Russia's army:

sights;

dalimeters;

thermal imagers;

fire control systems for tanks, BMPs, ships and even aircraft.

"It is here that 'eyes' for Russian armored vehicles are assembled," he added.

The Defense Ministry of the aggressor country claims that the AFU fired nearly five dozen aircraft at Russia on the night of July 4. Russian air defense forces allegedly shot down 48 aircraft over five regions of Russia. The most drones - 26 - were shot down over the Rostov region, 12 more were intercepted over the Kursk region, six over the Belgorod region, three over the Orel region and one over the Lipetsk region.
