The AFU Has Restrained Russia's 106th Airborne Division And Disrupted The Kremlin's Plans

The Ukrainian military has reversed the situation in Sumy region.

On July 2 and 3, the Russian army attacked border areas of the Sumy region of Ukraine. At the same time, even Russian war correspondents admitted that Ukrainian forces are constantly conducting counterattacks.

Analysts of the Institute for the Study of War voiced the current situation in the region over the past 24 hours.

Z-channels report that Russian troops failed to completely capture Yunakovka, contrary to the statements of Kremlin propaganda.

In fact, the occupiers from the 76th Airborne Division control most of the village, but not the entire territory.

The spokesman for the Ukrainian State Border Service Andrey Demchenko said that the enemy was operating in small assault groups in the north of Sumyshchyna.

At the same time, the enemy began to use motorcycle units less frequently on this section of the front. According to him, the enemy is increasingly using guided aerial bombs and unguided missiles. The main strikes are carried out in the Yunakivska and Khotyn communities of the region.

Demchenko also noted that Russian forces are conducting sabotage operations in Sumshchina and Kharkivshchina less and less often.

One of the Ukrainian fighters said that Russian drones using fiber optics remain the No. 1 problem for the AFU. According to him, the enemy has begun to equip the drones with REB systems to make them difficult to intercept.

Military analyst Konstantin Mashovets noted that units of the 11th and 83rd paratroop brigades of the Russian Federation are struggling to advance near Yablonovka.

In the meantime, Ukrainian forces have constrained the actions of the 106th paratroop division in the north of Sumshchyna, forcing the Russian Defense Ministry to postpone plans to redeploy it. In this direction, the AFU is also fighting with fighters of the Akhmat unit and Smuglyanka drone operators.
