Trump Signs Trade Deal With South Korea With Tariffs Of 15%

Seoul will provide $350 billion to the U.S. for investment.

The US has reached a trade agreement with South Korea. Customs tariffs for Seoul will be at 15 percent.

It was announced by US President Donald Trump in Truth Social.

"I am pleased to announce that the United States of America has agreed to a full and comprehensive trade agreement with the Republic of Korea," he said.

The agreement calls for South Korea to provide the United States with $350 billion for investment and purchase $100 billion worth of liquefied natural gas (LNG) and other energy products.

Seoul has also agreed to invest a significant amount of money. That amount will be announced in the next two weeks when South Korean President Lee Jae-men arrives at the White House for a bilateral meeting.

"It is also agreed that South Korea will be fully open to trade with the United States and that it will accept American goods, including cars and trucks, agricultural products and the like. We have agreed on a duty for South Korea of 15 percent. America will not be subject to duty," Trump added.
