Russia Massively Attacked Kiev With "Shaheds" And Missiles: There Are Hits In Residential Buildings

Two people died and more than 50 were injured.
Late in the evening of July 30, Russian Federation troops launched a massive attack on Kiev, using dozens of Shahed-type kamikaze drones that flew towards the city from different directions. And in the morning, the enemy hit the capital with cruise missiles. The consequences of the enemy shelling were recorded in four districts, two people were killed, 52 residents were injured, writes "Observer".

The alert in the capital was declared at 22:47 Wednesday. Air defense systems were working, monitoring channels reported a large number of enemy targets.
About an hour later, the head of the city's military administration Timur Tkachenko said that debris from downed drones had fallen at two locations in the Solomensky district. Autos were burning at one address.


As of 00:03 Thursday, there were reports of five fires in the Solomensky district, including an educational facility. Also debris fell on a residential nine-storey building. "Burning apartment on the fifth floor. Information about the victims is being established," Tkachenko wrote at 00:06.

At 00:15, about 40 drones were over the capital and the region, according to the Telegram channel "Nikolaevsky Vanek."
The residents of Kiev region heard the sounds of enemy UAVs flying.
Medics went to a call in Solomensky district, Mayor Vitali Klitschko said at 00:30. One victim with burns to the extremities was hospitalized.

The fire also occurred in Svyatoshynskyi district at one location, the mayor informed as of 00:40.
The number of "Shaheds" over Kiev has decreased, claimed an anonymous author of the channel "Nikolaevsky Vanek".

The KHVA as of 01:00 was aware of 10 locations affected by the enemy attack. Most of all - in Solomensky district, where it was recorded:
- fire in a high-rise building;
- fire near a residential building;
- fire in an educational institution;
- fires in warehouses and several non-residential premises at different addresses;
- falling parts of drones at two locations (near a house and on a car).


At 01:40 Timur Tkachenko informed: the number of victims increased to four, among them a mother with a child. Almost immediately there was a clarification that the victims are already five.

Frames of the consequences of the attack of the Russian Federation showed in the State Emergency Situations Service. According to the KSEA, the number of injured has risen to six people. Klitschko said that two victims were hospitalized by medics in the Solomensky district of the capital. Brigades have also left for calls in Svyatoshinsky district.


As of 02:50 the number of injured in Kiev is already eight, among them two children, the KHVA said. Subsequently, they updated the information, noting that the data on two victims - a mother and a child - was not confirmed. Thus, there are six victims again.

At around 04:40, a new series of explosions sounded in Kiev - the enemy was attacking with cruise missiles. They flew into the capital from the east, the AFU said.

According to the KGBA, the aggressor country insidiously launched a missile strike after a long alert: the consequences were recorded for residential buildings in Shevchenkivsky and Svyatoshinsky districts.


Mayor Vitali Klitschko added that medics were called to both districts. It is known that in Shevchenkivskyi district the shock wave blew out the windows in the children's department of the medical center. There are no casualties.
"A residential house in Svyatoshynskyi district has been damaged. Emergency services are being sent to the site," the mayor wrote.
A house and a car burst into flames as a result of a missile strike in the Goloseevsky district, according to the head of the KGBA, Timur Tkachenko. In Svyatoshinsky and Solomensky districts - hits to residential houses. And in Shevchenkivskyi damaged the windows of an apartment building, burned cars.

As of 06:10 as a result of the attack on the capital city
- in Svyatoshinsky district the entrance of a multi-storey building was destroyed, there were also fires in several non-residential buildings;
- in Solomensky district apartments in several houses were damaged, cars were burning, fires and damage were recorded at several locations of non-residential buildings;

- in Goloseevsky district, school and kindergarten buildings were damaged;
- in Shevchenkivsky district, a shock wave blew out windows in the children's department of a medical center.

Interior Minister Igor Klymenko said that Svyatoshinsky and Solomensky districts suffered the most from the Russian attack.

As of 07:15, the number of victims of the Russian attack has risen to two. A total of 52 people were injured (29 of them were hospitalized, others were treated as outpatients or on the spot).
"In particular, nine children were injured. The number, unfortunately, will grow. Two Kiev residents were killed in a targeted strike by Russian terrorists. This is also probably not the final number," the head of the KGBA said.

Three police officers who were on their way to a call are among the injured. Two injured people were rescued from under the rubble.

"One of the blows hit a residential apartment building: an entire entranceway was destroyed. I am at the site of search and rescue operations. The forces of the State Emergency Situations Service and the police have been involved. Rescuers are removing the rubble, working climbers, engineering equipment. The police provides protection of the perimeter and helps in the rescue work. Documentation teams are already in place. We are collecting evidence of another war crime of the Russian Federation," the Interior Minister said.
