Tusk: War In Ukraine May Soon "pause"

However, Poland's prime minister urges to prepare to defend against Russian aggression.

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said that "there are many signs" that could indicate a likely suspension of the war in Ukraine in the near future. He said this during a speech at the Air Force Institute of Technology in Warsaw, TVP reported.

The head of the Polish government emphasized that even in the event of a cessation of hostilities, Poland's position would remain unchanged.

"There is a good chance, there are many signs that indicate that the Russian-Ukrainian war may at least be suspended in the near future. But this in no way changes our situation," Tusk said.

He said Poland "must be ready to defend itself" regardless of developments on the Russian-Ukrainian front.

"We cannot lose a single hour or day in this pursuit of a modern army," the Polish prime minister said.
